Cycle Scheme

Scheme Improvements:

• You may request safety equipment on its own eg lights, luggage carriers, tool kits and clothing.
• The  upper limit value has been increased from £1,000 to £10,000.

We signed up to the national cycle scheme to help staff purchase bikes and safety equipment in a bid to encourage more people to get fit and cycle to work.

The hire scheme operates through salary sacrifice which means you can order a bike, pay for it direct from your salary (at source) and enjoy a significant amount of tax savings. It is a hire agreement, at the end of which, staff are offered the option of buying the bike at 5% of the bike's value.

The contract period for the salary sacrifice lasts 18 months.

Updated National Living wage rates effective from  Tuesday 28th November 2023 - 12 month applications - £11.44/18 month applications - £12.19

A range of bikes can be bought including road bikes, mountain bikes and fold-up bikes.

Safety equipment including helmets and lights can also be purchased this way.
